(PIKESVILLE - August 8, 2012) - I had never been to this restaurant and was excited that my friend was going to introduce me. I ordered a glass of wine, the waiter explained the menu and settled in to review this expansive menu. The lady next to me was eating "Paella a la Valenciana For one 25.5 For Two 47 - An Entree. A classic Spanish seafood and rice dish made with lobster tail, jumbo shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, grilled chicken and Spanish sausage, seasoned with saffron, and cooked in a special paellera" The Menu indicated ALL Entrees were accompanied by two sides. And, then I saw a bowl of what looked like green beans and was sold. I love Paella.

When the waiter returned, we both placed the order for the Paella a la Valenciana whereupon, the waiter said the Paella does not come with the vegetables. At which point, I indicated that the menu said, "All Entrees were accompanied by two sides" (it wasn't the price of the vegetables to purchase on the side - the menu specifically indicated that they were included). So, we asked for the manager, who came over and still stood on the fact that the vegetables did not come with the Paella, which was one of the items listed on the Entrees.

I then asked the manager (general manager) to tell me what vegetables were in their Paella... usually smaller pieces primarily for seasoning, I wanted a green vegetable with my dinner. He then took the menu and said, "We are no longer serving the Paella"....

To me, the menu or the waiter should have indicated prior to the order, that the Paella does not come with two sides. Period.

While this may seem trivial to you... to me, it is misinformation and this organization is not principled or customer-friendly. I wish there were a button for "NO STARS!"
