Guest Editorial: BALTIMORE'S TOP PROMOTERS ENDORSE PUGH FOR MAYOR
(BALTIMORE - July 30, 2011) - As a collective, Baltimore Nightlife Professionals represent over 100 thousand people.
On Thursday night, a powerful group of Nightlife Professionals met with 3 of the 4 democratic Baltimore City Mayoral Candidates. We wanted to hear personally who would best support the agenda of not only Baltimore's nightlife but also support economic development of African American businesses, employment of Baltimore's citizens, revitalization of our neighborhoods and support our children's education and year-round youth programs.
The meeting allowed each candidate to speak about their vision for Baltimore and answer questions from attendees. We were greatly impressed with each candidate's presentation, spirit and enthusiasm. We believe they all truly love Baltimore City. We appreciate Jody Landers, Otis Rolley and Catherine Pugh for taking time out of their busy schedules to address our audience.
As a group, we voted to endorse and support Senator Catherine Pugh to become the next Mayor of Baltimore City.
We believe she has the experience, courage, intelligence and fortitude to improve the conditions of all Baltimoreans.
The next step is to attend the Mayoral Debate on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 7:30p at the Empowerment Temple located at 4217 Primrose Avenue near Forum Caterers. Come hear the candidates for yourself.
We encourage everyone to participate in the upcoming election. Register to vote and vote on September 13, 2011. Get your support base, friends and families to Register and vote as well.
Our City needs everyone's help to become a better place for our children and future generations.
We thank everyone who attended the event and participated in this important process. 46 days to the Primary election day on Tuesday, Sept. 13 and the General Election is Tuesday, Nov 8, 2011.
It's time to work. It's time to make a difference.
