PoEditorial: Live A Lil!!!!! by DChase

DChase and his seed
- July 17, 2009) - We hold ourselves hostage. We are prisoners of our own free will. We fear judgment, embarrassment, failure, and most of all success.

We’ve stop dreaming. Yes, “It is what it is.” However, the 64 million dollar question is “Does it have to be?”

See it! Plan it! Become It!

Let your imagination run wild. Escape the gravity of your own self image and learn to become something new. Love the discomfort! Break in your new perspective like a brand new pair or shoes. Show them off and wear them often.

Be careful! You just might like it!

Be careless! You deserve it!

There is something that I like to call, “A calculated error.” The definition is self explanatory, however, I will expound. When we calculate, we measure, compute, analyze, estimate, gauge, determine, reckon, evaluate and assess a particular thing.

By definition, an error can be considered a blunder, boo-boo, slip up, and/or fault. I argue that most of our so called “mistakes” have not been mistakes at all.

We merely pre-assess the consequences of decision and measure ability to be restored from the result.

We take ownership of our mistake, but refuse to take complete ownership of our lives. This is your life. This is not a dress rehearsal. Don’t be afraid to live a little.

As a matter of fact, “Immortality is closer than we think!”
I AINT SCARED!

D. Chase

You are spot on. I have had many discussions with a few of my sistahs in the past. It's amazing that we sometimes down play our power, our worth to avoid seeming to be the "successful one" though such has been earned through hard work and long hours of comtemplation....wow perhaps most of us will feel free in 2009 to bare the "S" on our chest and past on to the next generation the spirit of those whose backs we continue to build upon. Thanks for the reminder of our worst habit...not living the life we have worked so hard to build.
