Political Analysis by Will Hanna: What If the Baltimore City Council Changed?

Will Hanna

(BALTIMORE - July 23, 2011) - I often wonder how this city will be in 4 years.  This year, there's a slew of new, young, vibrant candidates - including some aggressive, seasoned community activists running for city council seats.

D'Adamo's out, so what if a young energetic Brandon Scott would win.  Warren Branch won his seat by about 60 votes in District 13, but what if a community advocate like Shannon Sneed got in.  Helen Holton has her issues in the 8th, but what if a young guy like Dayvon Love were to unseat her.  Then there's the indomitable Michael Eugene Johnson and the up and coming Dr. John Bullock in the 9th District, as well as a number of strong candidates in the 12th, including Odette Ramos and Ertha Harris.

Baltimore City could really change, but will it happen now or in 4 years?  Figure this.  If just these seats played out in this scenario, things could be really interesting next election.  Mary Pat Clarke and Rikki Spector are nearing the end of their careers.  That would leave two powerful districts up for grabs.

The 7th District also is interesting.  Councilwoman Belinda Conaway was snubbed by the AFL-CIO as they endorsed her opponent, Nick Mosby.  For that matter, 13th District Councilman Warren Branch was also not endorsed by the Unions.

Bottomline: The resurgence of youth to the City Council is refreshing and though some may not get in, the stage is being set for Baltimore's City Council to be revamped in 2015!

Will Hanna, II, is a con artist. He owes EwinCorp and Bautista Renovations $22,000.00 by fraudently selling properties in Baltimore that he does not own. Will ratifies the contract and collects the deposit. After he receives the deposit he sends a notice stating that the majority of his Trustees rejects the ratified contracts. He promises to refund the deposit and sends a personal check that bounces. EwinCorp had to sue Will for the deposit. Will is an individual who steals for a living. Anyone who is dealing with him should not give him any monies because you will be spending time in the Court house trying to get your money back. I am taken aback that he runs a non-profit organization. Anyone reading this should not do any business with this con man who gets locked up because he does not pay child support. This man should be in jail; not running for political office. The District Attorney should investigate this man and I am certain my company is not the only victim.
