The Glover Report: New York City Parents Fight Morning After Pill :: Join us Tuesday at 10 am on WOLB 1010 AM www.wolbbaltimore.com
By Doni Glover, www.bmorenews.com
(BALTIMORE – October 27, 2012) - In the middle of the Poly-Mervo game, one in which Poly lost by 8 – I got a phone call from New York City. It was so encouraging that I had to share it with you. If you recall, I did a column on the Morning After Pill being liberally disseminated to 8 additional schools in New York City to girls as young as 14 without parental knowledge or consent. This makes a total of 13 New York City Public Schools engaged in a controversial pilot program that began over a year ago and makes birth control available to children.
Some study apparently has the City of New York thinking a pill will curb sexual activity. Never mind the funding for After-School programs and Recreation Centers. ‘Naw, just cut that! They don’t need it!’
It has been a few weeks since news first broke out of New York at the end of September.
Now, if a child needs an aspirin, the school has to get parental consent. So, why would you try to backdoor children – black and Latino – and poor – by making this pill readily available?
The justification used is that New York City has too many teen pregnancies. These Einsteins don’t think that money for Recs and After-School programs work, apparently. The wisdom of the past is obviously not good enough for these very liberal-minded New Yorkers who think it is okay to undermine and circumvent a parent’s authority.
It is so ill, so vulgar, so disrespectful, and so very, very evil. These people think it is okay to play God and parent to your child.
These people have the audacity to kill your grandchild and not even tell you, essentially. Shouldn’t that be a family’s decision?
Students are automatically enrolled in the program by default. Your child, they say, was given a form to bring home for the parent to see. If the parent wants to opt out, they are to send the form back via the child.
Are you serious? This, to me, is criminal and murderous. The blood of many babies will be on the hands of the Mayor of New York and on the hands of the New York City Council. Shame on them!
Last night’s phone call from Laura Timoney was very encouraging. She said that she and Mona Davids at the New York City Parents Union are working hard to halt this unfathomable move by the Mayor.
Ms. Timoney will join us on WOLB 1010 AM this Tuesday so that you can hear for yourself first-hand the horrors in New York.
Parents: BEWARE! If they slip it by in New York, they figure they can do it everywhere!

The Glover Report: An Open Letter to the Memory of Malcolm X: 2013:
In retrospect, the book would be ammunition and food for me in a 1980's world where Black America was about to be hit with crack cocaine amidst the Iran-Contra-Crack experiment funded by this government and led by Colonel Oliver North. Little did I know that I would be thrown into another domestic war - and that this book would serve me well as a guide. I now understand that Malcolm was giving suggestions on how to digest America without losing one's mind. Read in Full >>

How dare they give our children the right to make such choices except that they don't recognize that God is watching them brazenly give out those pills.
