(BALTIMORE – February 4, 2013) – Congratulations to the Baltimore Ravens on their Super Bowl XLVII victory! Congrats, also, to the people of Baltimore. Like many of you, I know what this victory means to the spirit of the city.
The fans, for those who do not know, are the 12th man on the field. I am sure the prayers of many Ravens fans made the difference.
You see, it’s way beyond football. It’s way beyond the NFL, the Ravens' logo, and the legendary career of Ray Lewis a.k.a. the Gladiator. It’s about a people – a beautiful people who have seen a lot of tragedy and pain and suffering – forgetting everything for a couple of hours and coming together with the people they love. It’s about coming together – all races, all religions, all nationalities – to root for the home team – preferably with a big bowl of momma’s fried chicken, some crab cakes with mustard – (Dijon, of course), and some steamed shrimp with extra spicy cocktail sauce.
Go, Ravens! And Go, Baltimore! Enjoy your time in the sun. If anybody needed a reprieve from the madness of this world, it is the people of Baltimore.
A victory parade hosted by the City of Baltimore and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will be held for the Super Bowl XLVII Champion Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
Beginning with an introduction from Mayor Rawlings-Blake at City Hall, the Ravens’ parade will kick off at 10:45 a.m. From City Hall, the parade will proceed south on Commerce Street, continue to Pratt and Howard Streets, and end at M&T Bank Stadium.
Beginning at approximately 12:30 p.m., fans are encouraged to attend a celebration featuring the team and live entertainment at M&T Bank Stadium. The event will be held rain or shine and is free for all fans. Concessions, merchandise and restrooms will be available at the stadium.
Parking for the stadium celebration is free in lots F, G, H & J and will open at 9 a.m. No tailgating will be permitted in these lots. Fans may enter M&T Bank Stadium through gates A, B, C & D beginning at 10 a.m.
Media will be permitted to park in Lot D at the stadium and must present an outlet identification card/badge for admittance.

The Glover Report: MD14: Not All Blacks Voting for Democrats ...
Marion Barry said it best: If they don’t do for the community, then vote them out!
I agree. And yes, I did vote, including for my first Independent and write-in, for that matter. What a refreshing feeling!
Republicans, Democrats and Independents - what an American mix! Read in Full >>
The Glover Report: MD14: VOTE for Change: Neverdon, Hogan, Rutherford
At least I can live honest and know that I did all that is within my power to effectuate real change in Baltimore and in Maryland. At least I tried to make black folks’ priorities resonate in the minds of elected officials as well as the broader public. Be wise and be sure to make your vote count.
ENDORSEMENT: And so I ask that you, the voter, cast your vote for much-needed change in Baltimore and in Maryland. Write-in Neverdon for Baltimore State’s Attorney; he is more than capable. And do vote for my friend, Boyd Rutherford, and his running mate, Larry Hogan, for governor. Read in Full >>

The Glover Report: MD14: 15-Year Veteran Attorney Russell Neverdon Aces Marc Steiner Interview on WEAA 88.9 FM (10.30.14) :: VOTE Neverdon!
Moments ago, Neverdon just aced a phenomenal interview on The Marc Steiner Show on www.WEAA.org.
He is clearly the best person for the job. Today, he succinctly explained his 5-point agenda (TRACE) which features regaining the community's trust. He stated that he has tried major cases on both the state and federal levels, unlike his opponent who has only 4 1/2 years as an Assistant State's Attorney with no major felony experience. Russell has been running a successful law practice of his own for the past 15 years. Prior to that, he has ample law enforcement, military and professional experience in a supervisory capacity over legions of people. Read in Full >>
