COPPIN: “HATS ON FOR DR. DOROTHY I. HEIGHT…”:
Civil Rights and social justice legend Dr. Dorothy I. Height will be honored at Coppin State University April 25, 2010 in a salute campus officials are calling the university’s “… seminal event of the year.”
The event, which will pay tribute to Dr. Height’s lifelong dedication and unending fight for social change, has been dubbed the “Hats On For Dorothy I. Height recognition program.” It will be held in Coppin’s new Physical Education Complex on the corner of Warwick and Gwynns Falls Avenues from 3 - 6 pm.

I remember when he first started it. Even back then, it attracted mounds of would-be business people, all eager to attend with a hungry look in their eyes, insistent on being present and, more importantly, learning something about this thing we call entrepreneurship.
Eleven years later, Finney is our Jay-Z. Hands-down, few have made the contributions this man has. Few have given of themselves and sacrificed as this young man. And so, we should applaud him for continually electrifying us and stimulating our spirits.
His mentor, Stanley Tucker, is no doubt proud as his mentee incites the greatness in all of us to come to fruition.
