Former Mayor of Berkeley, California to be featured on WOLB with Doni Glover:
Gus Newport, an expert in community development and former Mayor of Berkeley, California, is among the featured guest on today's edition of "Empower Hour" news talk radio show with Doni Glover on WOLB 1010 AM.
Newport will be in Baltimore tomorrow at Sojourner-Douglass College to discuss a "bottoms-up" approach to community development.
Also featured on today's show is businessman Erich March of March Funeral Homes.

Now under the leadership of 17-year community development guru Kelly Little, this Historic West Baltimore community is now on-point as a national model. The CDC officially launched the Baker’s View and Gateway Housing Development Projects that will bring approximately 31 new and affordable townhomes into the community along with 15 rehabs. State Farm Insurance, a strategic partner in this effort, helped with financing by making a $9.7 million loan.
