In addition, many local entrepreneurs are recognized for their good work and Ms. Royal Brown decided to add a component to the conference entitled ”Legacy Awards” for small business owners leaving a living legacy for other business owners. In 2009, The African American Empowerment Weekend (AAEW) changed its name to Entrepreneurs & Professionals Network (EPNET) and is spreading the message of entrepreneurship in all communities.
