Question: Although voter turnout was less in 2012, Cardin got around the same number of votes while the chief opponent, Muse, got a mere fraction of what Mfume got in 2006 – especially given Muse’s name resonates highly in Prince George’s County?
Another question, Cardin went from 19,000 or so votes in Prince George’s County in 2006 to twice as many 2012 – in a county where Muse’s name is most known?

Helicopter Hickman’s radio endorsement of ‘his friend – Ben’, and despite a TV commercial with Ben Cardin featured with a lot of black babies – I am nonetheless optimistic that the thinking person will look beyond the charades, the rhetoric, and the pretty flowers to see the funky quagmire for what it is: closed recs, pitiful opportunities to grow black businesses (the top employer of black people), no new schools, and a burgeoning ex-offender population with no hope in sight. Cardin's campaign ads speak to blacks as if they are stupid: "Ben's my friend!"
This is but part of why C. Anthony Muse gets my vote and my endorsement for Tuesday, April 3rd’s primary election. Unapologetically black, I approve this message. Sure, I know that Meyer Cardin was the patriarch of possibly the state’s most powerful Jewish family. However, the immediate needs of the black community – locally, nationally, and globally - is my first priority, and always will be.
