The Glover Report: Justice Deferred ... for 45 Days:
And if you think social media put a spell on Yemen, Bahrain, and Libya in the sense that the world instantly learned of human rights violations and atrocities as they happened as of late, this central Florida town – also the county seat of Seminole County – would be cast onto the world stage as evidence that the United States of America has unresolved racial issues. And this includes Sanford, a Southern town that has seen more than its share of racial hatred and violence. Hell, they even treated Jackie Robinson bad!
Right is right, and wrong is wrong. Whether a perpetrator of a crime is black or white – decent people everywhere require that justice reign supreme over all in these United States of America. Regardless of ethnic background, income, or political affiliation, the blindfolded eyes of justice are supposed to be equal and just …. even in Sanford …. even in 2012. Otherwise, this baked and packaged American fly-by-night brand of liberty, justice and freedom that we sell across the world is merely a hoax for gangsters and Wall Street thieves. I, for one, happen to think we’re better than that.

On the East Coast, the communities have clearly responded to this senseless act with protests.
***In New York City, for instance, a “Million Hoodie March” was held in Union Square on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 to honor young Trayvon’s murder. Since Wednesday, the hoodie has become an international symbol of protest on behalf of the otherwise everyday person. The beauty of this effort is that it has touched all races of mankind.
***Another rally - The “Stand Up For Trayvon Justice Rally” - will be held today (SATURDAY) from 2 to 4 p.m. at Freedom Plaza, 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
***On Monday, March 26th in Baltimore, The Baltimore Southern Christian Leadership All Peoples Congress, National Action Network, and other Civil Rights and community groups have called for a MARCH, SPEAK OUT AND VIGIL. The Monday March will begin at McKeldin Square (Pratt & Light Streets) at 5 pm and will begin marching at 5:30 pm (sharp) to the Baltimore Police Headquarters on Fayette Street. Local victims of racism and police abuse and those who have organized around the Shomrim case where a 15-year old Northwestern High School student was attacked by a similar community watch group in Northwest Baltimore’s Upper Park Heights neighborhood will speak-out at 6 pm. From there, the group will march to City Hall, 100 Holiday St. in downtown Baltimore where participants will hold a major vigil and rally from 7 to 8 pm. Local groups have begun a Baltimore petition effort to send to Florida authorities. FMI, please call 410.218.4835 or 410.500.2168.
