MD Democratic Party Update: Maryland Democrats Complete Convention Delegation:
The Maryland Democratic State Central Committee this morning put the final stamp of approval on the list of 99 delegates and 12 alternates who will attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado on August 25th. All of Maryland’s delegates to the Democratic National Convention have now been named. Today, 24 pledged “add-on” delegates were allocated to each presidential candidate in proportion to the statewide primary vote. Sen. Hillary Clinton received 9 “add-ons” and Sen. Barack Obama received 15. The Maryland Democratic State Central Committee voted overwhelmingly for the delegates approved by each presidential candidate’s campaign. Read in Full >>
