TGR: The Reality of an Entrepreneur:
I have always believed that there is a special blessing out there in the universe for the African American entrepreneur. I don’t know why. I just do.
Maybe, it is our historical plight as a people. Maybe, it is something transcendental that comes from our ancestors. Maybe, it is just faith.
I mean, my daddy was an entrepreneur. My mom had her run as well. And somewhere along the line, I too was bitten to go out there and do something. Mind you, I have a lot of respect for the person who can do the 9-to-5. As for me, it would have to be a really special job. And the last really special job led me to entrepreneurship (A very special “Thank you” to Diane Bell-McKoy). So, to say the least, I believe that running my own business is a calling … a calling from on high.

We, as members, of the human species find ourselves in the midst of some terribly interesting times: politically, socially, economically, physically, and yes, spiritually.
Here in the City of Baltimore, one could make the argument that if these five arms of the human experience were better on the same page, life would be better for all. However - at least from my perspective – the politicians and the theologians, the academics and the business leaders are seemingly wayward, lost from their moral compass, focusing instead on the material accoutrements of life that so often lead mankind to an infinite prism of hopelessness and despair – making man a lover of himself … and no one else.
