The mission of the EnVest Foundation is to educate, motivate and inspire current and future philanthropists of the millennial generation to make informed and meaningful contributions to nonprofit organizations. It's charge is to identify, train and develop a consistent pipeline of smart donors to fulfill the communities’ social goals.

As part of the foundation's continued efforts to challenge individuals to create consistent philanthropic lifestyle habits, in January 2011 it launched the EnVest 2000≤ Campaign. The campaign’s focus is to transform members of the millennial generation from first-time or occasional donors into society's next generation of life-long philanthropists. "The 40under40 Awards is a key component of the foundation's campaign because it recognizes the next generation of philanthropists for their philanthropic accomplishments and motivates their peers to achieve in the same manner" Joshua Humbert, Managing Director and Founder.
