(BALTIMORE - Feb. 3) - Meet Alexis Coates, a native of Baltimore, MD. Joining a list of distinguished national personalities scheduled to appear during Baltimore's 4th Annual Business Week, Coates can clearly hold his own among the best of them. Furthermore, he is scheduled to deliver an IT presentation during the 7th Annual Business Forum.

Alexis J. Coates has been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of dEVNIX, Inc., Baltimore, Maryland, a solid provider of software and database security technology since April 2001. Mr. Coates has served as President of dEVNIX, Inc. since April 2001.

Prior to joining dEVNIX, Mr. Coates had a distinguished career in academia with Baltimore County Community College - Catonsville where he taught an assortment of software courses, including Microsoft, Oracle, project management, database, and System Development Cycle classes.

Mr. Coates has also served as the CEO of Talrecom Technology. Talrecom provided computer training and system design for organizations such as Comcast Cable, the State of Maryland, Hopkins Transportation, and other private firms throughout Maryland. His tenure at Talrecom focused specifically on software development and design. As CEO of Talrecom, he was responsible for sales and support of Talrecom’s technology products and services.

During his time at dEVNIX, Mr. Coates has led the transformation of the company from a consumer software publisher to a global leader in information Internet database solutions for private and government enterprises. With global operations in more than three (3) US cities, dEVNIX offers a broad range of software, applications and services designed to help customers secure and access the Internet in a most effective manner. dEVNIX also affords its affiliates the ability to manage their IT infrastructure.

Mr. Coates, who holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, holds the vision for dEVNIX’s efforts in this the 21st century. Under his leadership, the company has defined a new category of information Internet database security software for a host of businesses and organizations. Mr. Coates has also made a number of strategic acquisitions to ensure dEVNIX, Inc.’s presence in an ever-globalizing economy.
