Baltimore Times Publisher Joy Bramble, MTA's Paula Cullings to speak as special guests

(BALTIMORE – April 23, 2008) – Over the past six years, a top priority for BMORENEWS.com has been covering the whole minority and women-owned business enterprise piece.

And on the weekly Radio-One show produced by BMORENEWS.com, the same holds true. Whether the guest has been the Speaker of the House, the Governor, the Mayor or whomever – the question is invariably posed to them: “Are you going to help create some new black millionaires?”

Hence, the BMORENEWS’ 5-week MBE Power Lunch Series concludes at Milton’s Grill (336 N. Charles Street) on Wednesday, April 30th. Special guests to include Baltimore Times Publisher Joy Bramble and MTA procurement specialist Paula Cullings.

Over the course of this business series, sponsored in-part by The Baltimore Times, dozens of entrepreneurs have taken the floor and shared their challenges, hopes and successes with other entrepreneurs in attendance. It’s been a sort of 12-step meeting for those individuals who have taken on the arduous task of running a business.

Past speakers have included some pretty notable individuals, including Renny Bass, owner of The Shops at North and Charles, Michelle Wike of All Staffing, greiBO Media CEO Shelonda Stokes, PR guru Karyne Henry, radio personality Marsha Jews, and Kevin Setzer of Setzer Capital Management. Other speakers and supporters include Stacey Price of Visionary Financial Strategies, EDAC Director Omar Muhammad, Coppin State Professor Hyacinth Ezeka, and LaRian Finney, CEO of Visionary Marketing Group.

Moderators have included Michael Preston of Power Marketing and Angie Barnett, Executive Director of the Better Business Bureau of Maryland.

So, if you or someone you know would like to come and promote a business, RSVP to Michelle Newby-Josey by emailing: contact@phenomenal-events.com or call 443.223.8789. Admission to the event is $20 and includes an excellent buffet lunch prepared by the chef at Milton’s Grill. The time of the lunch is 12 noon to 1 pm. FYI, seating is limited. Also, do bring plenty of business cards.
