Op/Ed: Injustice No. 2: WBE's Get Fleeced In State Bid:
Over at the Maryland Transportation Authority (MdTA), another super duper injustice has occurred.  Sisters and brothers, I mean, this is bigger than the Maryland Aviation Administration/Shuttle Bus debacle because three out of four contractors who submitted hard bids on an $89 million road construction contract met the stated minority and women business enterprise goals and the winner did not in a recent bidding process.  The issue is that the recommended prime contractor with the lowest bid did not meet the stated minority and women business enterprise goals and requested a waiver.
