DMGlobal Marketing & PR: My Name is Doni Glover and I Will Help You Brand Your Business!
(BALTIMORE - October 26, 2012) - By way of introduction, my name is Doni Glover. I am a journalist who specializes in multimedia: print, radio, TV, and the Internet. I write, I interview, I video, and I take pictures. I reach more than 60,000 people every month.
In short, I saw how small businesses – like mine – could use multimedia to better promote their brand and increase their sales.
So, ten years ago, I founded www.BMORENEWS.com and DMGlobal Marketing & Public Relations.
The purpose of BMORENEWS is to provide news coverage to the African American community on issues important to you in a timely manner. Our 5-point agenda includes: black business; public education; ex-offender services; affordable housing; and universal access to healthcare. To Pres. Barack Obama’s credit, every single BMORENEWS agenda item has gained his administration’s attention.
Now, as a small business owner myself, I know how difficult it is for the small businessman and small businesswoman to get the necessary exposure to grow one's business. Having grown up in a family business myself, I am pretty familiar with what it takes to make a lot happen on a shoestring budget.
Consequently, I’ve learned to do more with less. And I share that with my clients. Advertising doesn't have to cost 'an arm and a leg'.
After all, especially in fiscal times like these - every penny counts.
And that’s exactly why you should consider having DMGlobal Marketing & Public Relations – our advertising arm - help you get your name out there in the marketplace so that your product/service gets the attention it deserves.
We keep it simple. We strive to be consistent. And, we keep it affordable. That’s it!
We OFFER: Banner ads on www.bmorenews.com, a Baltimore/DC-based news portal now in its tenth year that has earned a solid reputation in the DMV (Washington, DC/Maryland/Virginia) and has won an award every year since we started. BMORENEWS garners over a million hits every month – mostly from the DMV – but also from over 150 nations around the world. And, we have one of the largest video news libraries in the country with more than 2,000 videos.
We OFFER advertising in our BMORENEWS E-Mail Newsletter. This can include fliers and text. Some our newsletter subscribers have been around for as long as 13 years. We have a steady subscribership of about 3,000 current people.
And we utilize the world of Social Media to further penetrate the market, namely youtube, facebook, linkedin, and twitter.
Lastly, I never thought that sending out an email or a tweet alone was going to do anything for my clients. And that’s why I decided ten years ago to go over and beyond. I envisioned some regular business networking events where I could instantly link potential businesses with potential clients.
Having a pretty good Rolodex, I began to use my phone book to bring together business-minded and like-minded folks of all backgroundfor the sake of better facilitating business amongst my clients and supporters.
The HARAMBEE Dinner Club was the first series. Harambee, by the way, is Swahili for “all pull together.” Then - as the years went by, I decided to spiffy up the name and keep it interesting. Then came the Soirees, Rendezvous, Womanpreneur, Baltimore Black Business Week (we did this about 7 years in a row), and a slew of other business networking events.
Somewhere in the process, we linked up with some All-Stars in Prince George’s County (just outside of Washington, D.C.): Peggy Morris and LaKei Forest-Cosby and the entire Sisters4Sisters Network, Inc. family – along with Rick and Odessa Hopkins of the CEO Business Café. For the uninitiated, Prince George's County is the wealthiest black jurisdiction in the country.
These two partnerships have grown and blossomed such that we have collectively produced even greater events, like the 2012 “Empower Me” Business Summit and the Black Capitol Awards series in an around Washington, D.C. We tend to recognize small business owners and we highlight new business stars on the horizon and support them - like Gabrielle Williams, a noted author and entrepreneur at the tender age of 11. She, too, comes from an entrepreneurial family - including her dad, Ron - her mom, Marcella, and her brother, Daniel.
Most recently, we convened about 60 women entrepreneurs and professionals from Connecticut to North Carolina on June 15th at the BMORENEWS Global Forum on Women’s Empowerment at the United Nations in New York City. To say the least, that will be a tough event to outdo.
So, if you need help marketing and you think I can help, give me a call and let’s see what we can come up with! My number is 443.858.2684 and my email is doni@bmorenews.com.
Let’s identify your needs and see if I can help you better brand yourself and improve your google-ability. I’m pretty sure I can help you as I have helped hundreds of clients over the years. This is my expertise. This is what I do.

The Glover Report: It's Election Time!:
Whether it's Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta - wherever, black people have to come to better understand a Delegate from a state Senator and a state Senator from a US Senator. We have to understand what the local Council does, what the state assembly does, and what is done in Congress. We also have to understand the legislation they write and who it impacts. Classic example: prisons. Somebody is voting for more and more prisons. My issue is that too many people who look just like me keep filling these cells. Currently, America has the Gold! It incarcerates 25% of the world's inmates, 40% who are black and male ... like me.

CHICAGO: Black Star Project: Commencement Remarks By First Lady Michelle Obama for Bowie State University:
But most of all, to the Bowie State University class of 2013, congratulations. (Applause.) Oh, congratulations. You don't know how proud we all are of you. Just look at you. We're so proud of how hard you worked, all those long hours in the classroom, in the library. Oh, yeah. Amen. (Laughter.) All those jobs you worked to help pay your tuition. Many of you are the first in your families to get a college degree. (Applause.) Some of you are balancing school with raising families of your own. (Applause.) So I know this journey hasn't been easy. I know you've had plenty of moments of doubt and frustration and just plain exhaustion. Read in Full >>
