The emcee for the evening is the incomparable Mark Clarke.
This will definitely be an evening to remember. From his early days as Editor of the Sandtown-Winchester ViewPoint Newspaper to running one of the country’s premier news portals on the web, Doni Glover has made it his business to continually serve the people. Glover, who is the quintessential publisher of BMORENEWS.com and host of Radio One’s “Empower Hour” on WOLB 1010 AM, has his hands in everything from providing political analysis on WBAL TV 11 (NBC) to advocating for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE’s) in Annapolis to hosting monthly business networking events.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to Digit All Systems, a non-profit organization committed to bridging the digital divide and bringing the benefits of expanding technology to everyone. Founded in September of 1998, the organization is committed to creating opportunity in disadvantaged communities.
"Besides being an anniversary celebration and BMORENEWS Benefit, this event will seriously provide an excellent business and political networking opportunity for anybody on the rise," said Glover. "We have people coming from Harford, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's counties - and the District. So, bring plenty of business cards. It's primetime, baby!"
Glover announced plans today for a television show and that part of the purpose for the benefit is to gain access to better promote people who are making things happen in the MD-DC region - espcially in the realms of business, politics, and entertainment.
Dubbed the ‘Russell Simmons of local media,’ Glover has kept the public informed on national, statewide and local issues via his weekly email newsletter, E-FLASH, for over a decade.
From Baltimore City to the Eastern Shore to the Washington Metropolitan area, Glover has a reputation of having his finger on the pulse of the people as a result of his raw, uncensored dialogue with the community.
Glover is a multi-media journalist whose platforms include print, radio, television and the internet. Further, he has made service a priority for himself and BMORENEWS.com. From the prisons to the schools to Africa and the Middle East, he is all about helping people and seeking the truth.
