FORMER PROSTITUTE REACHES BACK TO HELP OTHERS
(WASHINGTON DC - August 10, 2012) - Mrs. Jacqueline Younger, a former prostitute, crack and PCP addict as well as a survivor of rape, incarceration and homelessness has created a non-profit 501(c) 3 transitional housing and assistance program. The program, "God Is T.O.U.R.", which stands for Together Our Understood Responsibility, was established for woman and their children seeking life after abuse, addiction, prostitution, homelessness and co-occurring disorders in a supportive environment.
Jacqueline Younger and T.O.U.R. are already making a significant impact in the Washington, DC Metro area, in both short-term relief, and long-term skill development through subsidized apartments, free furnishings, life skills and health and wellness training as well as free mental outpatient counseling sessions and spiritual empowerment.
Prior to officially creating T.O.U.R., Mrs. Younger, independently helped women and their children by bringing them into her own home and helping them determine the right direction for their lives. Now in 2012 she has people on a waiting list to get into the program as well as a wealth of volunteers to help.
T.O.U.R. is having their official Launch Event on September 27, 2012 at Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, MD.
