Mrs. Munir’s business provides more than just eye exams glasses and contacts. She also uses her business to provide resources to the community. The Tint for Toy Program allows customers to get free eyeglass tint if they donate a toy, canned goods, coats, hat and/or gloves. The items are then donated to needy families at Christmas. The Annual back to school program provides book bags and school supplies to children in the neighborhood. She also has a program where she and her staff visit nursing homes quarterly to assist the residents with eye glass adjustments and new optical prescriptions.
Today, Mrs. Munir, is a wife and proud mother of two sons, Donnell who has received two Master’s degrees from the Johns Hopkins University and is currently in a graduate program there and Marquise who has a 4.0 GPA majoring in Criminal Justice and upon graduating this spring will start at internship at the FBI academy.
