John Milton Wesley is an accomplished author and singer/songwriter. He was born in Mississippi. His “God Mother” was civil rights leader Fannie Lou Hamer. His family’s insurance man was civil rights leader Medgar Evers.
Wesley moved to Maryland in 1973. Earlier, he attended Tougaloo College on a vocal music scholarship, Yale University on a writing Fellowship, and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism on a journalism fellowship. He is a published author whose work has been published in nine anthologies in English, Arabic and Spanish. His current work is included in “The Arab American Handbook”, edited by Nawar Shora, for Cune Press/ Seattle, Washington. Wesley is also the copywriter for the Baltimore Heritage’s Pennsylvania Avenue Historical Tour Guide Booklet, and Map. Read in Full >>
