Invitation to MBE Night in Annapolis
(ANNAPOLIS - February 19, 2008) - Montgomery County Delegate Herman Taylor cordially invites Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) to MBE Night in Annapolis on Monday, March 16th. This first-ever event will provide the Minority
Business Enterprise sector with valuable information pertaining to current legislation and emerging opportunities.
Additional topics to be discussed include contract opportunities, implications of the federal stimulus package for minority business, and compliance with MBE requirements.
The event begins at 5:30 pm with an information forum in the Joint Hearing Room of the Legislative Services Building, followed by an open invitation to attend the House of Delegates' legislative session in the State House. The night will conclude with a reception.

President Obama today announced the charities that will receive a portion of the $1.4 million award that comes with the Nobel peace prize.
“These organizations do extraordinary work in the United States and abroad helping students, veterans and countless others in need,” said President Obama. “I’m proud to support their work.”
