Dawn Jackson is the President of the Women Business Owners of Prince George's County and will speak at the Tuesday, June 23rd Soiree at the Radisson Lord Baltimore Hotel (6 to 8 pm)
Who is Dawn?
Dawn P. Jackson is the President and CEO of Nudawn Marketing Group,
Inc., an independent marketing consultant firm specializing in strategic marketing
solutions. Since 2001, her company has focused on corporate branding, strategy
and planning; corporate image design; project management; and website design
and development. By combining a uniquely diversified marketing background,
Ms. Jackson has earned a reputation for delivering quality service and
exceptional marketing expertise.
Following graduation from Hampton University with a B.A. in Mass Media
Arts, Ms. Jackson began her professional career as a business developer and
contract negotiator for the Department of Navy. After making her mark
negotiating multi-billion dollar contracts with top defense contractors, she was
unable to ignore her true passions for marketing, sales and writing. She joined
Black Entertainment Television (BET) as an Affiliate Relations Manager,
responsible for the network sales, service and distribution of the brand’s three
networks. Following multiple successes, Ms. Jackson joined BET.com as
Director of Promotional Marketing, responsible for all offline and online marketing
activity. She was instrumental in designing, developing and establishing the
BET.com corporate brand. Responding to her entrepreneurial spirit, she left
BET.com to pursue business ownership and successful created the Nudawn
Marketing Group, Inc.
As a committed community leader, Ms. Jackson is currently serving her
fourth term as the President of the Women Business Owners (WBO) of Prince
George’s County. Under her leadership, the organization has grown its
membership by more than 500%, and she has led the solicitation of more than
$75,000 for organizational initiatives. In addition, she has optimally leveraged
each of her business and leadership roles to further expand her marketing
expertise into the wellness industry. In 2005, Ms. Jackson followed another
passion and expanded Nudawn Marketing to create a Wellness Division to
address the health and wellness concerns of her community. Independently, she
was promoted to the rank of Senior Director for an International Wellness
Company, while partnering with various health and wellness experts to develop
comprehensive wellness programs for corporate and federal entities.
Dawn P. Jackson currently resides in Bowie, MD with her husband of 16
years, and their four beautiful children, ranging in age from 14 to 5-years-old.

President Obama Donates Nobel Prize Money to Charity:
President Obama today announced the charities that will receive a portion of the $1.4 million award that comes with the Nobel peace prize.
“These organizations do extraordinary work in the United States and abroad helping students, veterans and countless others in need,” said President Obama. “I’m proud to support their work.”
