Marketing Your Product/Service in the DMV … and Beyond: BMORENEWS.com is Efficient and Effective!
Dear Business Owner,
By way of introduction, my name is Doni Glover and I’m the publisher of www.bmorenews.com, a Baltimore/Washington, D.C. corridor-based Afrocentric news and information portal that specializes in business, politics, and community. While BMORENEWS has covered everything from the community meeting to the United Nations and the White House, we've also been abroad as well - covering Tanzania, Ethiopia, Canada, Jamaica and Jordan.
I am also the founder of DMGlobal Marketing and PR. So, while I'm a 24/7 journalist, I'm also a hardcore entrepreneur. DMGlobal is the vehicle. One of the things DMGlobal is responsible for is producing our weekly news talk radio show on Radio One Baltimore’s WOLB 1010 AM every Tuesday from 10 to 11 am. The show is now in its 13th year – and I’ve been there every step of the way. Over the years, I have interviewed hundreds of business owners and first-time entrepreneurs - just like you.
Thanks to the web, our media reach is actually beyond the DMV (D.C./MD/Northern VA) – touching cities like New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Los Angeles on a regular basis. Additionally, BMORENEWS’ visitors for September 2012 came already from a record-breaking 159 nations around the world.
All of this to say, I understand your needs as a small business owner. I understand your concerns – especially when it comes to cost. Ten years ago, I started this business specifically to help small businesses – like yours and mine – succeed. Marketing doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. This is what I know.
I also know that small business is the backbone of America and hires people from the community, people who might not otherwise work. So, I am committed to helping you access this one trillion dollar national market for African American consumers.
My interest is helping you, the small business owner, accomplish your dream of an even more successful business. As a small business owner myself, I know how critical it is to get one’s product/service to the marketplace quickly and effectively. That’s exactly what my team does. You want people to know what you have and how they can get it. And you want it now!
And that is part of our specialty: Getting your product/service in front of the masses using our website – www.bmorenews.com, our 13 year-old email newsletter, facebook, twitter, linkedin, and youtube. We use words, photos, and videos to do the job.
I encourage you to pick up the phone and give me a call. Let’s see if we can come up with an affordable plan to effectively promote what it is you are doing. And as for the web, when we get finished – search engines like “google” will know you and your product/service by name indefinitely. That’s the other part of our specialty – maybe even the best part of it all!
Over the past decade, our clients have included the well-known and the unknown – and everybody in between. Our clients include politicos, authors, lawyers, medical professionals, stylists, artists, salon owners, insurance companies, non-profits, as well as major corporations - including airlines and hotels.
My direct number is 443.858.2684. I look forward to speaking with you.
Yours truly,
Doni Glover, Publisher, www.bmorenews.com

Amongst the members of Congress, historians, popular personalities and national press, the descendants of Frederick Douglass will be in attendance during the unveiling ceremony. Nettie Washington Douglass is the Abolitionist’s great great granddaughter as well as the great granddaughter of Tuskegee University Founder and renown educator, Booker T. Washington. She is Chairwoman of Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives (FDFI), an Atlanta-based, non-profit organization dedicated to ending the many forms of slavery that still survive in the world today.
“We are so proud that the Congress of the United States has chosen to honor Frederick Douglass in this way,” said Ms. Douglass. “We especially want to thank Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton of the District of Columbia for her outstanding work on making it a reality.”
