MBE Power Lunches Attract "Best & Brightest"; Prince George's County delegation attended 4.9.08

(BALTIMORE - April 11, 2008) - Over the past two weeks, BMORENEWS.com - in conjunction with the Baltimore Times Newspapers - has - presented the "MBE (Minority Business Enterprises) Power Lunches" at a black-owned restaurant in downtown Baltimore.

Milton's Grill, just under 2-years old, has been the site for some pretty informative sessions featuring business owners and professionals from Baltimore, Baltimore County and Prince George's County.

Sponsors for the event include Kevin Setzer (of Setzer's Capital Management and Edible Arrangements of York Road) and Stacie Price (of Visionary Financial Strategists and the Greater Baltimore Leadership Association).

Attendees have included Louis Fields of the Greater Baltimore Black Chamber of Commerce, Carla Nelson of the Baltimore City Office of Minority Business Development, and Jerry Mathis of the Prince George's County Business & Community Coalition.

The event series, designed to celebrate black entrepreneurship and provide hard-to-get information to entrepreneurs, continues on Wednesday, April 16. All events are from 12 noon to 1 pm.

On the 16th, featured speakers will include Delegate Dan Morhaim, Dr. Tyrone Taborn, Edwin Avent, and Warren Brown, Esquire.

On the 23rd, the event is being dubbed "Woman Power." This particular MBE Power Lunch is dedicated to the efforts of women entrepreneurs in the region and will feature Karyne Henry, Shelonda Stokes, Michelle Wike, Donna Stevenson, Jacquenette and Michelle Billups.
