VOLUNTEERS: Rarely do we ask for assistance. This is one of those times. Over the past decade, we have made ourselves available to promote events, to cover news in the community, and to emcee. Once a year, we come together for a grand celebration of life. Typically, our networking events are about business. This one is just a wee bit special: It’s our 10th Anniversary at www.bmorenews.com! And we’d love you to join us.
This is a request for your assistance on that evening. We will need greeters at our VIP reception and are hoping you would consider the task. No heavy lifting involved! J We do request that you wear a shade of blue in your outfit.
Thanks,
Doni Glover, Publisher

AT DMGLOBAL, IT’S ALL ABOUT ACCESS. AND IT’S ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS. In addition to producing www.bmorenews.com and a weekly Radio One news talk radio show on WOLB 1010 AM for Sojourner-Douglass College every Tuesday, DMGlobal Marketing & Public Relations offers a respectable range of marketing and public relations services to help get your event, product, and/or service to the urban marketplace. We specialize in the urban market, beginning in the DMV (Washington, D.C./Maryland/No. Virginia), and extending along the Eastern Seaboard – from New York City to Atlanta. Over the past decade, our clients have included successful political candidates, lawyers, bankers, brokers, agents, artists, authors, non-profits, corporations, insurance companies, and a host of public relations firms across America, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The Glover Report: Will Anthony Brown Look Out for Black People?:
My question: What did you get for your support? Another question: Given the high level of advocacy of a then-Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele – a black Republican, has Brown spoken up for African Americans in a similar fashion since he’s been Lieutenant Governor? Read in Full >>

The Glover Report: It's Election Time!:
Whether it's Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta - wherever, black people have to come to better understand a Delegate from a state Senator and a state Senator from a US Senator. We have to understand what the local Council does, what the state assembly does, and what is done in Congress. We also have to understand the legislation they write and who it impacts. Classic example: prisons. Somebody is voting for more and more prisons. My issue is that too many people who look just like me keep filling these cells. Currently, America has the Gold! It incarcerates 25% of the world's inmates, 40% who are black and male ... like me.
