PGBCC President Requests Your Support
May 28th deadline near, get involved in saving MBE's
(LARGO - May 27, 2008) - In an effort to keep readers aware, BMORENEWS.com has been closely following the debacle in Prince George's County where local Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) are not getting anywhere near a fair piece of the new National Harbor Project.
On this note, the President of the Prince George's County Business and Community Coalition, Jerry Mathis, recently issued this request for support from concerned businesses; the deadline for his request is Wednesday, May 28, 2008:
National Harbor Minority Business and Community Empowerment
Dear Business and Community Leaders: We are in the process of submitting a petition letter to the County Council outlining our position in regards to Local Minority Business contracting opportunities at National Harbor. We need your support by allowing us to list your organization as being in support of our mutual efforts. There is strength in numbers and as Paul Laurence Dunbar so eloquently stated, “The whole is equal to the sum total of all its parts”. If you would like your organization to be listed on the petition, please respond to this e-mail at jerry@mathisrealtors.com no later than May 28, 2008 with the following information:
* Company Name
* Company Address
* Your Name
* Your Position
In order to prevent premature disclosure a copy of the petition letter will be sent to those individuals who agree to add their names to it.
Yours in the struggle,
Jerry Mathis
President, PGBCC
