The NDC-Northwest Democratic Club and Northwest Baltimore County Democratic Club are sponsoring a free public event at  the  Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Station, 10401 Owings Mills Boulevard, Owings Mills, MD 21117, on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 7 pm, entitled ... "Healthcare Reform Forum:  Solutions from Left to Right"
 
Government, community, and business speakers will be:
 
Dr. Peter Bielenson, Health Officer of Howard County and former Commissoner of the Baltimore City Health Department--explaining his preference for national (single payer) healthcare
 
Matthew Weinstein, Federal Issues Director for Progressive Maryland and Maryland Coordinator for Health Care for America Now -- discussing and defending President Obama's healthcare reform plan.
 
Ronald Weinholt, Vice President for Government Affairs and healtcare lobbyist for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce--presenting and justifying the Chamber's position on healthcare reform.
 
Dan Morhaim, physician, 11th District Maryland House of Delegate member and House Chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Delivery and Financing, will comment and moderate the Forum.
 
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear divergent points of view and get their questions answered.  Reservations are not required.
