Historic Arabbers Sunday Market Begins May 3rd at Legends Park

Arabbers
Historic Arabbers Sunday Market

(BALTIMORE - April 30, 2009) - Fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables will be available for sale beginning this Sunday, May 3rd, from 9 am to 3 pm at the newly renovated Legends Park - located just opposite The Avenue Market at Fremont Avenue and Laurens Street.

Presented by the Pennsylvania Avenue Redevelopment Collaborative (PARC), this new initiative is indicative of the progress made by the Main Streets program which began a decade ago. Now under the leadership of Linda Richardson, the new Executive Director who replaced George Gilliam, PARC is moving forward.

The Arabbers Sunday Market will also offer fresh cut flowers, herbs and spices, an international food court, and an arts and crafts market.

Even more, there will be music provided by local gospel choirs.

According to Richardson, this is a great first step towards re-engaging the community - particularly those who live elsewhere but attend church in Historic West Baltimore.

FMI and vending opportunities, contact Linda Richardson at 410.669.5397 or email backacre@live.com,
