Baltimore businesswomen Sarita Oaks Murray and Zerita Holly-Ross, both breast cancer survivors, will host Blink Pink, an evening of jazz and old school music, food, fellowship, relaxation and pampering. MOREHOUSE TIGERS BEAT BENEDICT; EXTEND WIN STREAK:
The Maroon Tigers started the 2009 season with a bang, bashing the Benedict College Tigers, 34-13.
The victory extends the Morehouse win streak to four games, dating back to October 18 and avenges a 7-3 loss to Benedict, on opening day last year. Morehouse has now won 5-of-6 against the Tigers from Columbia, SC.

St. Martin Church of Christ is pleased to announce that its pastor, Rev. Dr. Kevin Daniels, will be inducted into the Episcopacy by the National Beth-El Churches, Inc. with Epsicopal Jurisdiction over Communty and Education on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 2pm to 6pm at the Sheraton Dover Hotel Grand Ballroom located at 1570 North Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.

Baltimore Housing Fights Blight and Wins In Court:
Attorneys for Baltimore Housing prevailed in a long-running lawsuit to eliminate the blighting influence of the Lebow Building, a prominent former factory in the Station North Arts and Entertainment District located at 1500 Barclay Ave. On Tuesday, Judge Pamela White of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City granted the City’s request to appoint a receiver and ordered the owners to pay $58,000 in back fines to the City. BALTIMORE HOUSING CRACKS DOWN ON VIOLATORS:
The Permits and Code Enforcement Division of Baltimore Housing has instituted aggressive new measures to ensure that all required permits are obtained before any construction work begins in Baltimore City. The new program marks the first time an automated approach has been developed to administer penalties and conduct regular re-inspections of addresses in violation. Read in Full >>

BIKERS FOR BRAIN CANCER RESEARCH:
Motorcycle Riders and enthusiasts from up and down the East Coast will be joining the Brain Cancer Research for a Cure Foundation and world-renowned Neurosurgeon and Scientist, Dr. Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa for the historic charity event. The Brain Cancer Research for a Cure Foundation’s “Creating Hope Motorcycle Ride” is supported by over 100 Motorcycle Clubs with over 2000 registered bikers, Brain Cancer patients, their families and local government agencies. Bikers will meet at Apple Ford in Columbia, MD and be led by police escort to M&T Bank Stadium. Brain Cancer patients, Bikers and other supports will all rally together in parking lot-B of M&T Bank Stadium and enjoy food and shopping from local vendors, entertainment and a motorcycle raffle.
