"Empower Hour" News Talk Radio Show Celebrates 10 Years of Service

(BALTIMORE- May 5, 2009) - "Empower Hour", a news talk radio show that is featured every Tuesday on WOLB 1010 AM in Baltimore with BMORENEWS publisher Doni Glover, is in the midst of its 10th year of service.

Thanks  to the former Baltimore Empowerment Zone and now to Sojourner-Douglass College (SDC) - especially to Dr. Charles Simmons (SDC President) and Ann Bostic (SDC's Director of the Professional And Continuing Studies Division) - this show continues its mission of helping empower the community with news, information, and resources.

From the Governor to the Mayor, this show interviews key decision makers and key players across the region regarding education, employment, job training, home ownership, community development, healthcare access, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Today's show will feature Associated Black Charities of MD Pres. & CEO Diane Bell-McKoy, Brian Smedley of the Joint Center in DC, and the New Baltimore Hilton's Matthew Dykstra.
