New School of Education Dean at Bowie
(BOWIE – June 15, 2008) – Bowie State University welcomes Dr. Traki Taylor-Webb, who will become Bowie State University ’s new dean for the School of Education on July 1, 2008.
Taylor-Webb previously served as associate dean of the School of Education and Human Services at University of Michigan-Flint where she oversaw assessment and accreditation. She was appointed to the Blue Ribbon Commission to develop the recommendations to guide the institution forward. Prior to this position, she was associate chair for the university’s Education Department and director of Diversity Projects for the division. She also brings experience as a faculty member.
She earned a B.S. degree from Coppin State College along with M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
