The Doni Glover Interview by LaTara Harris on WOLB 1010 AM :: 10 to 11 am :: Tues., July 10 ::
(BALTIMORE - July 9, 2012) - BMORENEWS announced today that Publisher Doni Glover - who typically hosts "Empower Hour" on Radio One's WOLB 1010 AM every Tuesday from 10 to 11 am - is the interviewee tomorrow. While the show will maintain its regular segments, at least one of the segments will feature questions from LaTara Harris.
Harris, who is also the Director of Partnerships and Outreach for the Maryland Business Roundtable, has done media in the past, including an internship at WPGC with Donnie Simpson. In her media tenure, she has interviewed Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, President of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Jim Pitts, President of Northrop Gruman Electronic Systems. While she claims her home as Hawaii, she's also spent much of her life in Maryland.

Whether it's Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta - wherever, black people have to come to better understand a Delegate from a state Senator and a state Senator from a US Senator. We have to understand what the local Council does, what the state assembly does, and what is done in Congress. We also have to understand the legislation they write and who it impacts. Classic example: prisons. Somebody is voting for more and more prisons. My issue is that too many people who look just like me keep filling these cells. Currently, America has the Gold! It incarcerates 25% of the world's inmates, 40% who are black and male ... like me.
