(BALTIMORE - November 19, 2008) - On Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Lyric Theater in Baltimore, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum will host its Annual Gala, honoring Eddie and Sylvia Brown and featuring performances by music legends Ashford and Simpson and Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr.
The second largest African American Museum in the nation, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting Maryland’s African American history. Since its opening in 2005, the Museum has become one of the state’s most important cultural resources by contributing to the education of Maryland school children and attracting visitors from throughout the country.
The Annual Gala attracts about 2,500 guests, representing a broad range of supporters. The Gala is the Museum’s most important fundraiser with proceeds supporting operations, including education, exhibitions and public programs.
