Guest Editorial: Black PressRadio: ASHAMED OF HIS BLACKNESS: First Madea now James Bond: Why Idris Elba is all mixed up:
Equally without debate, his decisions to accept Black roles gave him a seat at one of the world's most discriminating tables: Hollywood. He's played a hard-working Black father in Tyler Perry's "Daddy's Girls" and one of the most dangerous Black kingpins an opposite of Denzel Washington in "American Gangster" as well as a Black military veteran with mental health issues in the gritty movie "Legacy."
