Actor Ro Brooks Honors Hollywood Celebrity Photographer Arnold Turner in Calendar Shoot: Proceeds to benefit the Sarcoidosis Disease Foundation

(HOLLYWOOD – August 2, 2018) – According to Actor/Author Ro Brooks, Arnold Turner is the premiere celebrity photographer for the month of August.  Arnold’s vision through the lens has led him on the journey of a lifetime. He has been a preeminent photographer in the music, film and television industries for over three decades, shooting The Grammy’s, Latin Grammy’s, The Emmy’s, BET events, MTV, VMAs, AMAs, Billboard Magazine, Soul Train, Lady of Soul, NAACP Image Awards, Essence events, corporations, publications, social media brands, and VIP special events.

Brooks is currently working on a calendar shoot featuring a number of dynamic photographers who work Hollywood. Turner is one of those featured.

In short, Turner  has captured great moments of celebrity friends such as Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Cedric The Entertainer, Quincy Jones, Russell Simmons, Janet Jackson, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Amber Rose, Mariah Carey, Anthony Anderson, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Ice Cube, Lil Kim, Aaliyah to name a few and now Jerome Ro Brooks.

Turner’s photography artistic mastery began in junior high school while living in Spain. His sister, TiTi, was a production assistant on big movie sets: Lawrence of Arabia, Patton, The Great White Hope, 100 Rifles and others. TiTi would put her camera in Arnold’s hand and point out around set who to go take pictures of. Too young to know at the time, but he was photographing big stars like Burt Reynolds, Omar Sharif, George C Scott and Jim Brown. I guess you can say “now you know the rest of his story”.

Arnold believes he possesses one the of largest photograph collections of African American musical icons spanning the last two decades of the 20th Century into the present day.

For the uninitiated, Actor/Author Ro Brooks is known for FX’s “Sons of Anarchy” and OWN’s “The Haves and the Have Nots”. He currently stars on “Medinah”, the Middle Eastern Sci/Fi Drama Series scheduled to air Spring 2018. Each calendar month will highlight the incredible talents of one of the 12 photographers as they canvas Brooks in a different and uniquely-themed setting. Each calendar month will be released monthly, allowing fans time to enjoy the wonderful works of each photographer individually.

Included will be a photo and a mini-bio on each photographer for viewers to get to know a little more about each of them; also, behind-the-scene footage of each photo shoot will be featured.

The calendar series is Free of Charge! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Sarcoidosis Disease Foundation.

One of the great Celebrity Comedians to succumb to Sarcoidosis: Bernard Jeffrey McCullough, better known to his adoring fans as Bernie Mac, was an American stand-up comedian, actor and voice actor. In the final three years of his life, Mac publicly disclosed that he had suffered from sarcoidosis, a disease of unknown origin that causes inflammation in tissue. Sarcoidosis frequently attacked Mac’s lungs. Mac died August 9, 2008 from complications of pneumonia.

Sarcoidosis is a systemic inflammatory disease that can affect any organ, although it can be asymptomatic and is discovered by accident in about 5% of cases.[17] Common symptoms, which tend to be vague, include fatigue (unrelieved by sleep; occurs in 66% of cases), lack of energyweight loss, joint aches and pains (which occur in about 70% of cases),[18] arthritis (14–38% of persons), dry eyes, swelling of the knees, blurry vision, shortness of breath, a dry, hacking cough, or skin lesions.[19][20][21][22] Less commonly, people may cough up blood.[19] The cutaneous symptoms vary, and range from rashes and noduli (small bumps) to erythema nodosum, granuloma annulare, or lupus pernio. Sarcoidosis and cancer may mimic one another, making thedistinction difficult.
