(PORTLAND – August 23, 2018) – The 3rd Annual Cannabis Science Conference, the world’s largest and most technical scientific cannabis event, is happy to announce the finalized schedule of innovative speakers and panels that will take place at the upcoming 2018 show.

Hosted at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, OR, from August 27 – 29, the Cannabis Science Conference, organized by CSC Events, LLC, with title sponsor Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, is aimed at improving cannabis science. This year the conference will focus on three distinct tracks dedicated to providing attendees with a variety of innovative content designed by cannabis industry experts. The three tracks are: the Analytical Cannabis Track; the Medical Cannabis Track; and the Cultivation Cannabis Track.

“Each year there are new and exciting things happening in the cannabis industry and we strive to provide some of the most knowledgeable experts and interesting topics to keep our attendees in the know with this rapidly evolving industry,” said Joshua Crossney, President, CEO and Founder of CSC Events, LLC. “This year’s conference agenda brings together an array of cannabis industry experts, research scientists, medical practitioners, policy makers and interested novices. All dedicated to improving cannabis science.”

This year the conference is expected to have over 3,000 attendees and 150 vendors from all over the world, another increase from last year where they saw 2,400 attendees and 125 vendors.

Included in the collection of innovative speakers is the conference’s previously announced celebrity plenary speaker, Fran Drescher, whose charity organization, Cancer Schmancer has recently begun including medical cannabis education into their events.

The conference will also feature various keynote speakers as part of their three distinct tracks. These include:

  • Ethan Russo, MD – International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute (ICCI)

Finally, the event is honored to welcome Jim Belushi to its Aug. 27 Canna Boot Camp, where he will be filming part of a documentary on the State of Cannabis in Oregon. The Canna Boot Camp is a full-day, interactive workshop covering everything from cultivation, extraction, sample prep, analytical testing, edibles manufacturing and more. This event allows industry experts to join forces to demonstrate techniques, instruments and technologies and ultimately share their experiences with others in the industry.
