Jeremy Stinson is Running for Congress
Maryland’s 5th district finally has a viable altenative to Steny Hoyer, an Independent named Jeremy Stinson. As a small business owner, war veteran, political activist, and community leader, Jeremy has the practical experience and knowledge to ensure the success of Maryland's 5th congressional district. Jeremy served over eight years in the U.S. Navy and has a strong desire to serve his nation again. Along with the importance of putting God first, his single mother also taught him early on about the value of hard work and dedication, and now Jeremy is ready to serve both Maryland and America with the same vigor his mother had for her family.
Many people ask Jeremy why he is running unaffiliated with the major parties. His simple answer is because the major parties are not interested in solving the problems that are affecting the people. Rather the major political parties are more interested in gaining and maintaining power. As a party candidate, one must represent their party’s agenda above the people’s agenda. Jeremy wants to represent the people, not the party. Furthermore, Jeremy Stinson believes the people are tired of the bickering between the Republicans and Democrats; and he believes the people want to elect someone who is moderate and practical. Jeremy Stinson exclaims, “We cannot fix old problems with old solutions!”
Jeremy Stinson is an experienced small businessman and financial counselor. Experience has taught him the importance of balancing current needs with future goals to ensure success. This is why Jeremy Stinson has laid out a practical plan that addresses the short-term needs and the future goals for Maryland’s 5th district.
His three-fold plan is to address the current unemployment rate through workforce training programs, attack the national debt and deficit through tax reform, and invest in the future with educational funding and reform. Jeremy wants to alleviate the current unemployment crisis in Maryland by providing short intense programs to re-train the current workforce so they can be qualified for the jobs available now. Also, Jeremy proposes tax reform that will simplify the tax code to lower rates and plug up the unfair loopholes and back-door expenditures. Furthermore, Jeremy wants to implement pilot projects in schools in Maryland’s 5th district that will utilize the best practices from successful educational models around the nation. All three objectives are inter-connected and must be accounted for in order to assure a prosperous state and nation.
In order to accomplish anything within the stilted confines of how Congress currently operates, Jeremy will have to lead the charge in redefining what the “center” is in the House of Representatives. That may be his greatest challenge, but he is confident it can be done.
Jeremy Stinson is fighting for the people and wants to represent their agenda in Congress. Find out how you can support Jeremy by visiting his website, www.jeremyrstinson.com. Jeremy is also interested in meeting with you and your family and friends personally. Jeremy Stinson is representing the people, not the party.
