As a small business owner, war veteran, political activist, and community leader, Jeremy has the practical experience and knowledge to ensure the success of Maryland's 5^th congressional district. Jeremy served over eight years in the U.S. Navy and has a strong desire to serve his nation again. His three-fold plan is to address the current unemployment rate through workforce training programs, attack the national debt and deficit through tax reform, and invest in the future with educational funding and reform. Jeremy wants to alleviate the current unemployment crisis in Maryland by providing short intense programs to re-train the current workforce so they can be qualified for the jobs available now. Also, Jeremy proposes tax reform that will simplify the tax code to lower rates and plug up the unfair loopholes and back-door expenditures. Furthermore, Jeremy wants to implement pilot projects in schools in Maryland’s 5^th district that will utilize the best practices from successful educational models around the nation. All three objectives are inter-connected and must be accounted for in order to assure a prosperous state and nation.

In order to accomplish anything within the stilted confines of how Congress currently operates, Jeremy will have to lead the charge in redefining what the “center” is in the House of Representatives. That may be his greatest challenge, but he is confident it can be done.
