RAWLINGS-BLAKE ANNOUNCES TRANSITION COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Committees of experts will conduct a comprehensive review of all city agencies

(BALTIMORE - January 28, 2010) - City Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake enlisted the support of top Baltimore leaders to serve as committee members to assist City government during the transition process. 

Rawlings-Blake assembled a team of experts to serve on committees in six key areas: Public Safety and Essential Services; Jobs and Economic Development; Education Reform and Youth Services; Community Development and Neighborhoods; Health and Human Services; and Arts and Culture. 

“I am very pleased and honored to name a diverse cross-section of Baltimore excellence to lead this transition effort as committee members,” Rawlings-Blake said.  “Each committee will conduct a comprehensive review of each city agency to ensure that all public and taxpayer funds are used in the most effective and efficient manner.”

Rawlings-Blake named the following Baltimore leaders to serve as committee members:
